mostly hype about jujutsu kaisen coming back, hope a couple of other things stand out too. i watched stuff yesterday horimiya piece: i enjoyed horimiya a fair amount and i'm torn on this because the first episode was absolutely more horimiya in a good way but it feels really weird going back to see side stories. ayaka: didn't grab me at all. writing's very flat and it doesn't look great. was kind of into the premise/pv so was disappointed. tiny senpai: figured out pretty quickly this wasn't my kind of romcom and dipped

based on director/writer combos, i'm thinking these shows might be at least decent: Dark Gathering Helck Lv1 Demon Lord and One-Room Hero Saint Cecilia & Pastor Lawrence Sunshine in the Mirror Undead Girl Murder Farce Zom100 these shows i expect, to be bad The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today (although it looks like gohands' least worst show to date) Reborn as a Vending Machine most isekais for that matter, and no, I don't want to hear about how bad they are as always i'll probably watch one episode of each and then forget to watch the rest. thanks for reading

There's a lot of shows that I know are good, like the coming seasons of Jujitsu Kaisen and Mushoku Tensei, but I'm just not interested in them. Here's hoping that those of you who are fans of these series find them to be every bit as entertaining as you want them to be. Also, how the gently caress did anyone greenlight a second season of Spy Classroom? Did someone have blackmail pictures of the network programmers? Were a truckload of blowjobs passed out? Is it a long-term result of the Fukushima disaster? Either way, this video version of Seconal was so bad that there's only two other shows from the past Winter that are less in need of a second season. I've already watched the first episodes of two of these shows: Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror (Yohane the Parhelion: Sunshine in the Mirror) - Competently animated and acted, the overall story lost me by the end of the episode. If you're a fan of the "Love Live" series, there's a good chance you'll like this. I'm not, so I'm out. Ryza no Atelier: Tokoyami no Joou to Himitsu no Kakurega (Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout The Animation) - I don't know why I decided to try this, the list of good shows based on games starts & ends with "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners," but I didn't have anything else to do that day so i gave it a shot. Oh well. It's not horrible, just... average. The kind of show that the term "mid" was created for. I will give one compliment: This show is fixated on the main character's hips, legs, and rear end. She thicc. I'm carrying over Niehime to Kemono no Ou from the Spring, and while nothing is making me exceptionally excited, there's a few shows I'm going to give a shot: AI no Idenshi (The Gene of AI) - This is the new show I'm most interested in, as series about the nature of AI have always been attractive to me (See "Dennou Coil" and a good part of the late Satoshi Kon's oveure.) Dekiru Neko wa Kyou mo Yuuutsu (The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today) - I'd be much more interested in this show had I not seen the trailer for it and gaped at how bad so much of the animation is. Maybe the story and acting can obviate the shortcomings, but I wouldn't make any bets. GoHands? More like GoFish... Eiyuu Kyoushitsu - It looks like a by-the-numbers fantasy high school show, but the main girl gets her clothes blasted off in the trailer so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hyakushou Kizoku - Maybe I'll learn interesting things about farming life in Japan. At least the art looks cute. Level 1 dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyou desu (My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1) - I read most of the manga for this thing and becoming disillusioned with it, so i have no idea why I'm even watching it. Oh yeah. The OP bunny girl. Probably drop this after I see her animated. Last and probably least, Jidou Hanbaiki ni Umarekawatta Ore wa Meikyuu wo Samayou (Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon) - I have a habit of giving shows that sound this ridiculous a try, often with surprisingly good results. Examples being Ya Boy Kongming, Akiba Maid War and Campfire Cooking On Another World With My Absurd Skill (Fel is a VERY GOOD BOY. And Sui is a VERY GOOD SLIME.) But this show doesn't have PA Works or Mappa doing it, so I expect to finally find one of these "pulled from a hat" isekai ideas crash & burn. As I am oft fond of calling such moments, a train wreck at a clown college. Ah well. Maybe I'll take the time to go to the beach. EDIT: The person below me enjoys watching paint dry. So she hauls him around and sets him up in places to vend stuff, which includes taking him out on adventures since he's essentially a box of infinite supplies.

Really looking forward to Bastard, still can't believe it's not only gotten adapted but also a fairly decent and faithful adaption. But it does make me wonder how in the world are they gonna handle Immoral Laws arc, since its less of an arc and more just several long fights with play-by-play commentary.

Not a ton of interest for me this season but I found the first 2 eps of Yohane the Parhelion remarkably charming. Very pretty to look at with an interesting choice of main character. I've also heard a lot of very good things about BanG Dream MyGO that got me interested enough where I'm currently watching the 1st season of BanG Dream for a bit of extra context before going into that. The thing that had me most excited though was not anime per se, but that this season also sees the airing of season 2 of the lovely chinese donghua Feng Ling Yu Xiu. Except... The episodes that are up do not have english subtitles yet, so I can't actually watch it! I specifically learned japanese to not have this problem, only to run into it with another asian language...

The new Fate/whatever thing was really fun, but - It's a one-off OVA that only covers the start of a story. No idea if they plan to do the rest, or if it's just a very expensive advert for the source material. - Most Fate things start fun. Wizard spygames are significantly more enjoyable to watch than hero-ghosts having DBZ beam fights. - From the stinger, I'm worried that they're gonna do the /apocrypha thing and introduce a pair of maximally bland protagonists to focus on instead of all the actually interesting characters they just established. Please let the main characters be the wizard boy with all the social skills of a sledgehammer and his pal, a manifestation of the mystery around Jack the Ripper. We don't need another angsty teen and differently-angsty honorable sword person. Please.
