I'm also in the no-tails camp. I hate it when I order something without thinking to ask if they take the tails off, and spend the first part of my meal having to do surgery on the protein. It's gotten to the point I'll order scallops or squid instead just to avoid the goddamn tails.

Deep-fried prawns, no problem. Head, body and tail. In pasta though where they are cooked but not super crispy, the tails stay behind.
