i am declaring today to be a POSITIVITY DAY please share something positive here! there are plenty of threads to be negative in, don't do it here please! i had a job interview today that went well! i've been looking for work since may so i'm hoping this lands me a nice contract for 3 months and i feel good about it

I watched some Inuyasha with my kid this morning. I made a very tasty bacon, salami, and cheese omelet. I fixed my bed so one of my dumbells isn't propping it up; I've got my set back in use as a bonus. Those are the positives so far. I still got a fun workout, a relaxing bath, a big bowl of cereal to eat, and no reason to be up tomorrow morning so I'll be up reading until I drop my tablet on the floor or my face. That's the positives for the rest of the day. |

My new job is going really well. I like the new company's culture, and I've really hit it off with one of my early-career co-workers, who yesterday thanked me for stepping into being a mentor. I've been afraid to mention it because I don't want to sound like I'm rubbing anybody's face in my good fortune. Thanks for making this thread! |

A stray dog was wandering through the neighborhood, so we put it in our back yard. It's super friendly, drank a ton of water, so I gave it a bit of dog food which it promptly gobbled up. I think it may have been It didn't have a tag -- it had broken off -- but the rabies tag was still attached, so I called the vet that issued it and they were able to get in touch with the owner. Yay! Doggie gets to go home soon (I hope), and probably get a bath. |

My sister's kid somehow snapped my bedroom door handle clean off (?), so I installed a new improved one with a lock. It has a curvy handle which doesn't match the rest of the decor, but I like it. I looked at it from a new perspective  It looks somewhat like an elephant I thought. I suppose one needs to turn the handle for the full effect.  I don't normally post in here. Is this an acceptable post for BYOB? |

There are still even sillie smilies left over from that time. Here are a couple with no particular relevance to you or me:   I recall people actually using these smilies in ad hominiem attacks like it was somehow witty! You probably remember it too, LOL. I'm feeling quite confident I have finally fixed the house WiFi. Did you know microwave ovens blast 2.4Ghz radio noise which fucks up 2.4Ghz Wifi?  The old downstairs door no-one uses now looks like some type of animal. Also wow. The flash has exposed the filth on the door from the previous owners. Time to clean!
