There were actual physical knobs and switches you had to twist and push/pull to work the climate control in a car or to change the station on the radio, and it was all concentrated on the dashboard and not on your steering wheel. There was also a crank on each car door that lowered and raised the windows manually.

I mean, you can still go to the locations that have teens for you to harass if you don't want to get out of your car, it's just you won't get yelled at by them if you've crossed the border and forgotten the archaic rule they're pro-choice on car-filling, not anti-teen abuse lol
