Smoking dirt weed in his lizard room

Welcome to Guys: A Podcast About Guys with Bryan Quinby (@murderxbryan), late of Street Fight Radio, and Chris James (@theCJS) of Not Even a Show. Guys is a podcast where Bryan Quinby finds the weirdest guys online and shares them with us and the funniest people online while suffering periodic catastrophic technical failures. Co-hosted by Chris James, former standup comedian and resident of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Guys presents angry reviews of sex clubs, recommendations for keeping venomous snakes in a house with children, lists of pocket knives to carry into work, and war stories from mall cops on a weekly basis, with extra shows and streams on the Patreon show, Guys+ (featuring theme music by goon Breadallelogram). A very Weekend Web-style podcast, Bryan subjects himself to the worst online communities and weirdest content streams to curate an extremely funny show, while Chris and a guest roast both him and the titular guys depending on circumstance.

Basically all of the episodes are very funny, but some of the best ones to start with are:

Sex Guys
Erowid Guys
Softball Guys
Chive Guys
South Park Guys

Given that Street Fight officially ended last year, the old thread was getting sort of long in the tooth, so I decided to make a new thread where we could plan how to fundraise to send Bryan to Hedonism 2.

Posting about the yelp guy made me think of a bunch of other guys in competition for Top Guy which is impressive for a comedy podcast where you can easily just forget the new episode after you chuckle at it. My Guys ranking

1. Yelp Guy who Hates Cold Water/Pulsating Rock Beats
2. David the Shark
3. Loss Prevention Guy Who Sits in Parking Lots Reminiscing
4. Michael Noland
5. The Autograph Guy Who Got Scammed
6. Guy Who Wants to Know What Happened to Stan's House While They Live on the Pot Farm
7. Count Jackula (Also Least Favorite Guy)

I love David the Shark so much, also the sex guys who were writing irritated yelp reviews and not being turbocreeps.

I was listening to this ep when you posted this, like they said I'm just dying to know what the actual music he's complaining about it. It's gotta be like a Jonas Brothers song on a completely standard public place playlist.

Anyone coming in who wasn't like a Street Fight listener and you'd like to get a little backstory on what Bryan's deal is I'd recommend Karate Guys, where he and Jon Gabrus realize they had the exact same childhoods and wind up just swapping stories of youth delinquency.

The Karate episode is great because they use the term "Neo Geo rich" to describe this guy Bryan's sister dated in the 90's that lied about how he was the voice of Buster Bunny on Tiny Toon Adventures.

And it was illegal for him to use the voice outside of the studio!

Holy poo poo I forgot that the Chive Guys episode features an article The 10 Best Things About Bewbs, and the comment Bryan read was an extended riff on "The wonderful thing about Tiggers" called "The wonderful thing about titties." They really sacrifice for us.

Not that people should use Twitter, but there was an amazing thread by (I believe) Great Moments in Something Awful History that consolidated the whole da Joos thread from TCC. A lot of goons died.

I'll have to give it a shot, Chris has been really annoying me lately talking over guests and hijacking the show so I haven't really bothered with Guys+ but I am excited by more Tony K.

This is the first Guys+ with a guest and I think that really elevated the show. It's often felt like Bryan and Chris just filling time so they have something to put on the patreon, which to be fair, is exactly what Guys+ is. But yeah today's was the best so far.

My favorite stuff is the Sunday streams. Guys plus is usually nice because we get a variety of awful things. I think I'm getting just as obsessed about Michael Noland as Bryan is.

My friends would call it "warmahams" sometimes so I thought it was a reference to that lmaoo.

Honestly you could probably do an entire series about warhammer guys.

What is the origin of David The Shark?

David the Shark is a guy who posts on LinkedIn to try and become friends with billionaires. Bryan was having trouble finding sales guys so he asked our group DM for help and I told him to go look at the people in Grant Cardone's mentions and sent him some screenshots, he found David the Shark from there.

Ah so there's a goon influence in there in a roundabout way. I did see he popped up recently on the LP Guys+.

This podcast is fun but it is shocking how little knowledge Chris James and Bryan have about any and every subject, but they're from Canada and Ohio so I guess its not all their fault.

Knowing absolutely nothing seems to be the critical prerequisite for podcasting. The only podcaster I can think of that actually knows things is maybe Matt Christman.
