incredibly happy with millwalls signings - we're plugging some real problem areas although we will absolutely be seeing the sad aftermath of no charlie cresswell in defence. nisbet, bryan and de norre look class

yeah millwall are good right now. best ive seen them beyond 2010-11. the faith in the board with rowlett is the most important part of that coupled with our scouts/director of football (the latter weirdly being just a guy who used to be a twitter journo thats actually doing well on the signing front.) flemming and possibly now de norre are rather inspired signings. my biggest frustrations are when the fans slag the manager off (theyve literally had it too good for too long and we'd crumble replacing him) and the fact that every so often millwall play like a bad version of engalnd - being that we look insane for 10-15 minutes on some random stretch then the rest of the game is hoofing up a wing and then a cross to noone in particular for 70 minutes.

millwall is predictably imperfect and either sneaks shite they shouldnt or bottles it entirely. however the completely ancedotal trend ive seen over the last three seasons has been that they're sneaking more than theyre bottling. this could be a fantastic bellwether game or an abberation but i was genuinely impressed that even when boro had their boot on our neck, we seemed mostly strong rather than purely lucky

danny mc was good, bryan despite the miss was great; nisbet didnt do much this game but after the preseason he'll likely find his feet. hopefully performances get more and more cohesive. rowett must play esse and emakhu more; they must get minutes

also good on boro vis-a-vis the john berylson tribute. such a depressing loss to football but his son looks initially like he'll be a great champion of jb's legacy of good management
