idc about the child porn stuff - dude liked to jack it and lived in an age where getting porn meant having to source it from locations, instead of just typing 'whatever weird poo poo I like that's also legal' into Search Jeeves. Sounds pretty plausible that he bought bulk loads of porn and there was some questionable material in there he didn't vet. No biggie. What gets me is the indecency charges in the adult theatres. That poo poo was like brown-bagging: everyone knew you were going in there to do some off-brand poo poo. As long as you weren't a weirdo about it nothing would happen. When something happened, the question is how much of a weirdo were you being about it.

As for why I said the very next day he turned himself in, that's because it's reported here in an article on the very first page of the thread. It could very well be an error on reporting but no again not anywhere close to McDs. I'm actually not sure if I even feel Paul Reubens actually did anything untoward, but that comparison is just loving gross to try and make anyone who is skeptical seem like they're being manipulated by PR  If thats the case, who was trying to bring down Paul Reubens like McDs was the hot coffee lady? It always has an eerie look about it where you see it from the road and can't quite tell whether it's abandoned or still in business, despite things like the sign being lit up at night and people working in the gate house. It gives off a low-key horror vibe like people drive in but don't drive back out. About a year ago I passed by there and saw that one half of the sign had been torn up in a storm. I thought someone would fix it eventually, but weeks went by and it never got done. Several months later I went back by and the whole sign was gone, along with the gate being closed. Google says it's permanently closed now, which is a tragic shame imo. I kinda hope it comes back one day, because a place this weird doesn't deserve to suffer such an ignoble demise. I. M.
