Where did the term “SA goon” come from? And what we’re members of these here forums referred to as before the moniker “SA goon” was created?

There was some sort of invasion of another forum many years ago by SA posters and someone on one of them referred to the invaders as Lowtax's "goons" or some poo poo like that.

It dates back to the earliest era of the Internet, known as the "Dial Up" era. The earliest denizens of this website were the Modem Guelphs, whose earliest forums can still be found within the deepest parts of radium's code. At that time, it was called Ye Olde Somthynnge Awphul. Upon the introduction of the Ethernet, the Wire Saxons sought refuge here. Their tribes mingled, forming the Guelph-Saxons. Given how cumbersome the name was, it slowly became shortened to Guexons. Upon the advent of Wi-Fi, Guexons was further shortened to Gueons. We now pronunce it as "Goon," but the original pronunciation was closer to goo-WAY-ons. Why the mispronunciation occurred is another wonderful tidbit of Internet history, but alas. It is a story for another time...

I think it came from way back when Lowtax got into a fued with The Ultimate Warriors manager or something. The pair got in an online slapfest and Lowtax got called 'spaghetti armed' and the manager said he wasn't afraid if lowtx sent his goons (forum users) after him.
