This show is really good. I think my favorite part is the song that plays when Utena marches up the stairs. It's relentless! I'm on episode 16 and things are getting wacky. there was a shot where Miki's sister has been brainwashed and is about to suck the sword out of him and she puts her hand on him and it's like EXACTLY like how Gendo puts his hand on Rei in End of Evangelion. I have no idea how the timing of these shows lines up but I love seeing stuff like that even if it's a complete coincidence. I almost fell out of my chair. I love the car thing. The cars sticking out of the ground in the arena. It reminds me of various places in the dark souls games where there's like fields of swords. I think that imagery is in a lot of other places too. Berserk maybe? Don't Griffith and guts have a fight in a field of swords? The flash backs of the uh pink haired guy were funny in a way too, because of the ridiculous little blinking pointing hand going "hey look at this SYMBOLISM" and stuff. Sort of in the same realm as when the student council is having their meetings and some crap is happening that they are like halfway interacting with. A baseball game in one for instance.
