Last year I made a coat out of a Pendleton blanket I got at the thrift store for $8. It is extremely warm and heavy.  Pre-covid I dyed all this fabric, and then during lockdown when I wasn't making masks, I cut it all up and made a quilt.

It's a lot of work! I go to sewing class once a week and only make 1-2 big pieces like that a year.
