No, I do not think it's going to destroy the fabric of the universe. I think that poster was trying to bait people into arguing, and want that to stop for a while. Looking through their post history in the thread, I saw a few occasions that looked like trying to bait arguments and being kinda lovely. It's not that big of a deal. I was responding to reports from the thread. I always do think about moderation decisions but I don't expect everyone to agree with everything. I really don't consider thread bans to be that huge of a deal but if they're perceived as very serious I can rethink that.
