Horse nebula also kind of looks like a creature pulling itself out of a dark mass.

I’ve seen the ISS fly overhead and it hauls rear end. You have fractions of a second on a very specific day to get a shot like this.

I got Michael Collins, who took the photo, to autograph it. Nice dude. His book is great.

Edit; it's the same picture, but the Earth seems to be different sizes and it's freaking me out.

Edit2; Huh, here's the original, and it appears the 8x10 I bought from the vendor to get signed has made the Earth a bit bigger:

And another article about the cosmic question mark, which had a really gorgeous outer space picture until some ad started and took its place:

Found it on NASA’s side in an uploadable format.

All of the planets are named after Roman deities, with the exception of Uranus which was named after the Greek sky father solely because astronomers thought it would be really god drat funny.

The coolest thing about the hubble telescope is that it was built off CIA spy satellite tech that came first and flipping the cameras around and looking at space was an after thought and this was only confirmed after some spy satellites ("stubby hubbies" due to the lens focal length) were given to NASA recently
