I'm drunk right now but I'm gonna get hosed right up in a while. As it stands, we don't have a thread for people who are hosed up, to express the bizarre and incoherent thoughts that pervade our psyche but that we want to share.
Everything everywhere all at once is perhaps the greatest movie of all time. I've loved it the day it came out. It will be remembered along with the other big ones in the 1940's, the ones we only know referentially (has anyone really sat through most of those movies?). It truly does contain Everything, Everywhere and it does show everything in a frame that could be considered all at once. It also occurs everywhere. Children will talk about this movie in 2080.
Also know that you all are really cool and good!

Stoner thought as prompted to AI: Do portions of our society grant more forgiveness for us being failures as people? If so, who are they?
quote:Absolutely, certain pockets of society are more forgiving and accepting of human failures than others. These can often include:
Close Family and Friends: Generally, these are the people who will stick by you through thick and thin. They're more likely to forgive your shortcomings and offer a second chance.
Religious Communities: Many religious philosophies emphasize forgiveness and redemption. Whether it's the Christian concept of grace or the Buddhist notion of compassion, these communities can often be forgiving spaces for people who have stumbled.
Support Groups: Whether it's AA or a group for dealing with grief, these are designed to be non-judgmental spaces where people can talk openly about their struggles.
Therapeutic Settings: A good therapist is trained to help you without judgment, offering a confidential and forgiving setting to explore your issues.
Certain Subcultures and Online Communities: Whether it's the artsy crowd that believes that suffering fuels creativity or certain online spaces where anonymity allows for more freedom to be imperfect, these can be forgiving arenas.
Progressive Social Circles: Generally more open to the ideas of social justice and rehabilitation rather than punishment, these groups might be more forgiving of individual failures if they are seen in the context of larger systemic issues.
So, yeah, if you've messed up in some way, there are definitely places and people more willing to give you a break. But remember, while forgiveness is a beautiful thing, accountability is also important.
interesting and bland.
