i always have a hard time with recipes, any chance these could be in strip form, possibly narrated by some sort of epic sassy bad rear end

You can't spell 'vector field' without me, Professor!

though as a former vegan I can list the things I absolutely missed eating (steak tartare, paté) versus the things that men on Twitter with middling intellects are very insistent that they could never do without (mah epic bacons)

but the thing is that the foods In the former camp were mostly things I’d only ever have occasionally so if you’re willing to do “80% plant-based” or whatever you can get there pretty easily imo

yeah famously his daughter is an all meat diet influencer, which I am not pleased to have to know

i'd also argue for bacon a bit on those grounds, if one (as most probably should) want to cut down on meat consumption a bit a single rasher of bacon is a fair bit of flavor and texture for a relatively small amount of actual meat.

definitely. bacon is moderately replaceable as meat products go though since a lot of the flavour is the preservatives/preparation vs the meat itself. these things work fine for vegetarian carbonara or similar (would probably be good in a vegan thick tomatoey sauce for pasta but haven't tried that):
