I'm always baffled that there was apparently no way to signal to whoever does these things to simply stop the track and play the correct one, or any contingency plan for this kind of situation.

She blames the band but it was probably something or someone off stage that loaded the wrong track. Her just freezing and doing ....whatever that dance was is likely what got her blacklisted. It's one thing to have technical difficulties on stage but you recover. Once she did the dance and left stage it was over. That was the equivalent of a child pissing their pants at a school recital.

To me this comes off as saying the writers gave her scripts that were badly written. Imagine being a writer and getting your lead an Emmy nod, only to have them refuse and list the quality of your work as the sole reason for doing so. Pretty sure having an Emmy nominated script helps your career but not when the talent poo poo on it.

Jennifer Grey who starred in Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, got a nose job which made her unrecognizable.

Rob Lowe was caught having a threesome at the DNC with an underage girl and all on video. I remember the fuzzy, pixelated images on the nightly news and Entertainment Tonight.

Me and some friends went and saw it opening weekend. Only real nerds had the internet back then so this was our only way to see Jesse naked.

But as the movie went on, you could tell everyone was very confused. Is this camp? Is it just bad? I mean, she's naked and all but...I just want to laugh.

Exit to Eden would have killed if they marketed it as Dana Dalany in S&M gear, but instead they just showed Dan Akroyd and Rosie O'Donnell.

edit: This is the one film that Akroyd said he wishes he could forgot. This coming form the man that brought us Nothing But Trouble and Blues Brothers 2000.

I think it's because they won a Grammy that this went down? Session musicians are often used and un-credited in all genres of music. All that hair metal that consumed Dial MTV during this time period was full of it.

After voicing Loki’s Ms. Minutes and helping make it one of the most popular characters from the Marvel series, voice actor Tara Strong has been recast in a project she worked on. The actor was fired from the upcoming animated series Boxtown – a decision that was reached after the actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice her support for Israel and calling the bombing of the Gaza Strip “smart.”

They do NYE in Canada so it's a bit chilly. Guitar strings tighten up in the cold which means you're always out of tune. It's also not great for your voice to sing in -15c weather.

A big reason is that it's just easier logistically. 10 bands means 10 sound checks and no one has time for that since everyone is only playing 2 songs each. Better to just tune the PA once and the done with it. Sometimes the singer may be live but the background vocals are not.

And yeah, you risk off pitch notes or like Mariah Carey a few years ago, you can't hear anything at all and have no idea what sounds are coming out of you. I've had two occasions where I've been on stage and my monitor feed just quit. I could not hear a drat thing because the drum set was behind all the amps and speakers.

I wonder if people remember the Anna Nicole Smith show? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Anna_Nicole_Show

Probably not as it only ran from 2002-04 and is only on DVD. The one episode I remember is that she was drunk or high on pills (ok this is almost every episode and on a blind date with some rich nobody who only sees her as an object. He takes her to this Japanese steakhouse (or maybe just Benihana) where he's rented out a private dining. She can barely form basic sentences but somehow managed to demand A1 sauce for her wagu beef. Of course they don't have this but rich guy insists so they send a busboy down to the corner store.

On the limo ride home she's hanging out the window, screaming while rich guy is just calming saying, "Anna Nicole.....Anna Nicole....Anna Nicole" over and over.

Oh totally. Likely the reason it hasn't seen the light of day is because of all the controversy around her sons' death, her death, and the paternity case her lawyer (also on the show) brought up for her young daughter. Watching that show now knowing what's really happening and what's coming would be pretty painful to see.

Protip: never watch old seasons of America’s Next Top Model or the Tyra show. The insidiousness of 2000s misogyny wasn’t that it existed, is that women are some of the most ghoulish offenders.

However I do love the one where Tyra puts on a fat suit for a day and learns the lesson of “people are lovely to fat people, especially fat women.”

God I hope fat suits are a dead career. They always look terrible and we have had and currently have fat actors.

It's rare to see a fat actor, especially female, in a role where their weight isn't the main definition of their character. It's always weight loss, not loving how they look, or in a terrible relationship because they are fat and miserable. This is Us is a perfect example. I don't know how we got here when shows like Rosanne (the early ones) showed that her and her husband were still sexual and totally fine with how they looked and had other poo poo to worry about.

I'm not saying those aren't real life problems, but it would be nice to see someone in a role and that be that. Why do I care if someone playing a secretary, detective, lawyer, etc, is overweight? Oh right, because Internet. That's why,.

Lewinski is older than I am, and as I got older, eventually passing her age when it went down basically made the story get sadder and sadder.

Thinking about how I was at 22, there’s no way Bill was anything but a predator.

Before he even took office there were two serious allegations against him from his time as Gov of Arkansas. Some of you likely were not even born yet So maybe you don't remember Paula Jones https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paula_Jones or Gennifer Flowers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gennifer_Flowers. Both of which featured in Playboy. I don't think Monica even appeared nude did she?

I think the GOP hated all this so much because he was getting away publicly with something they all go to great lengths (and money) to hide. I think they were afraid another intern or paige would also confess to the same behaviour,
