Yeah it surprised me when they introduced Stardust in the manga and he's literally David Bowie, I wasn't surprised with how he turns out though.

Shy's friend sure pops up a lot more than I remember from the manga, but the last time I read Shy was before the mangadex collapse, so my memory isn't that great.

Yeah the bad guys talk a good game but everything they do just makes the problem worse. "Oh I'm so cold" uses ice powers to freeze an orphanage. Everything Kufufu does is just toxic enabling. Etc. Meanwhile Shy is trying to stop Tzveta at any cost and constantly risks her own life to do so. Spirit has rallied but she looked lost there for a while. Hopefully things will wrap up next episode.

Considering the timing they must have been notified of the renewal in advance of the general public but how much in advance is unknown if it impacted their season 1 plans in any appreciable way. If it didn't the ending is kinda ballsy.
