Laraque recently admitted to having helped train both Xhekaj and Pezzetta over the summer as well, so he could be even more of a beast this year

Oh my god the body count starts. Kirby Dach has been injured and won't be back in the Chicago-Montreal game.

The damage happens in the minors as well. Reinbacher is injured, and Heineman suffered this:

The way things are going, playing for the habs might be the best odds for these people to get a season ending injury

So their doctor is from a time when the leafs won Stanley Cups? No wonder the habs have been so injured.

it was part of the Habs discourse in the media last season; the team replaced a lot of the medical staff this summer, and then some more at the start of the season. Mulder is apparently still around in an advisor role.

I’m mostly afraid he’d take an elbowing run at players like Caufield and ruin their careers with concussions. Like there’s no amount of enforcers and suspensions that makes up for that sort of poo poo.

I sort of am okay bandwagonning with whatever Canadian teams are left after the Habs are out of the picture. I'd have qualms about it mostly with Toronto, but thankfully I've never had to root for them because they haven't made it past the first round. Ottawa might start being annoying too, the rivalry with the Habs seems to be ramping up.

It's not a real holiday in Quebec unless you work for something that's under federal jurisdiction like a bank or the post office. That's like a fourth of the population of the country, gotta get those ratings.

It’s Patriots’ day (in opposition to Victoria Day) and it’s a statutory holiday in Quebec as well.

That just means the SAQ and provincial offices are closed too.

I am at Dix 30 right now. Everything is open.

Edit: lol nope, SAQ and SQDC open too.

Most places stay open most statutory holidays that aren’t June 24 or literally Christmas/new year’s. SAQ stays open on July 1st for Canada Day as well.

That’s what I said. The real holidays are just Easter Sunday, Quebec Nationalism Day, Canada (Nationalism) Day, Labor Day, Christmas and New Year’s. Today might even be a fake holiday in other provinces too but I don’t live in those ones so I don’t know.

It’s Victoria Day in all other provinces. But yeah I understand what you mean, I just thought “fake holidays” involved not having a statutory day off, like say Remembrance Day, or Truth and Reconciliation day, where federal workers have an actual day off but nobody else does.
