gently caress I don’t even know who to root for https://twitter.com/IMPACTWRESTLING/status/1735751611958374404 I’d love TNA’s first show back being with MCMG still being champs I’d love KUSHIDA getting rewarded for signing I’d love having more excuses to see Vikingo

let's go Ryback TNA book the big guy!!! In seriousness, wonder if this will be related to the Endeavor deal.

Seems like a huge miss to go back to TNA but not use the TNA PPV names. Final Resolution makes no sense in December but works as a mid January thing.

Final Resolution wasn't ever a "Big Four" PPV, though. My guess for the big signing? Mercedes Moné. She's got brand value, and Trinity is already there.

Edward Mass posted:Final Resolution wasn't ever a "Big Four" PPV, though. TNA never had a big four. They had Lockdown which was a successful concept, Slammiversary which was not, and Bound for Glory which they desperately wanted to make their Wrestlemania but was rarely as successful as Lockdown. Other than those shows they just had shows. So if you are going to relaunch, relaunch with the old PPV names. Hell you can even use Lockdown here.

I'm going to temper my expectations and assume it's Dolph they've signed, but only because everything they've done in the last two weeks (book Ospreay, book Okada, book Vikingo, book and sign KUSHIDA) has absolutely knocked it out of the park and exceeded expectations for everything I've touted about them over the last few years to the point another shoe dropping is the fear For all the good they've done during this time period, "take advantage of a moment someone elsewhere has been big" hasn't seemed like one of them aside from the time Kenny had the belt, but peak Vikingo here, mending the relationship with free agent Okada, and winning over Ospreay as he's a free agent to the point he still shows up even after signing elsewhere definitely is. This is exciting, even if I couldn't tell you how long they can keep this up

TNA are continuing their signing spree on the UK indies. They’ve signed the current RevPro women’s champion Dani Luna. Really good get for them. These UK signings are really shrewd.

It's not that I don't want to see Alex Hammerstone, it's just that I know very little about him other than he's run roughshod over MLW the past few years.

Allow me to quote a Cagematch review of him, not because it's true but because it is incredibly funny: "Hammerstone reminds me of a more modern Hulk Hogan, with less charisma but better promo skills. The guy is fit to win any title he wants in any promotion, from WWE to Impact. All he needs is the right moment for a major company (besides MLW) to notice him" Actually that's probably not even the weirdest most exaggerated Cagematch review of him. Apparently Court Bauer or someone from the MLW office has a lot accounts on there forkboy84 fucked around with this message at 22:33 on Jan 4, 2024 |

I've only seen him a few times in MLW but he seemed entirely unremarkable. Especially in the year 2024 when you have guys of comparable size and a lot more talent like Wardlow and Brian Cage who are not exactly setting the world on fire.

Hammerstone is most memorable for having one of the worst twitter presences a few years ago. Just a boring guy, he might be able to do well outside of MLW but he's hard to root for.

This really does nail it and his tweets a few years ago were basically "you are a stupid mark if you don't think WCW Saturday Night guy was the ideal pro wrestling bodytype." He wasn't wrong it was just off putting.
