I hated the Rugrats as a kid with a passion, the show was so loving boring and ugly and almost never funny. Cannot understand how people have such a strong nostalgia trip for it.

The Office is another one, could never understand how people loved such an unfunny show, hey look Steve Carell said/did something that would be uncouth in an office setting, now John Krasinski is gonna say something witty and look at the camera for the 10,000th time.

Modern Family.

I once asked my brother why he likes it.
He said something like "There's a really funny joke in Season 4 episode 3".

I'm not watching 4 seasons of a comedy show to find one single joke.

I think this is the show's answer to not wanting a 'live studio audience' but still wanting to be popular with a crowd that needed to be told when to laugh.

Not sure if anyone even still watches that poo poo now we all got the internet but pretty much everything on British TV is offensively poo poo (except for 1-2 good comedies they used to make a year but it’s been many moons since I heard of a new one)

Completely understandable. It stays like that the whole show and I hate watched it until season 3 started. Ended up being an even bigger Sudekis fan and still get annoyed thinking about how glycerine everything is. The plots are more convenient than a marvel movie.

Love the concept, great acting, loving hilarious mental health jokes, and I would love Mr Lasso for a coach. Everything else about it feels like a distilled version of reality like a barbie movie.

Same. I haven't watched anything that small segments of the local news in many years. Yet I think I'm fully informed by reading a couple of newspapers and other general internet reading.

They should put the good skits up first instead of making me sit through the bad ones.

In all seriousness though, I get this weird vibe from the show, like an anxiety almost as I wait for the joke. Maybe that’s the goal but I don’t want to be anxious watching comedy.

Disney succeeded in what George Lucas could never quite achieve: making me dislike Star Wars. My nieces are all about it, and I can at least talk to them about the original films so that's nice. But I can't force myself to watch The Mandalorian or any of the (I'm assuming) dozen or so movies that have come out under the Disney label.

The thing that made me stop watching Star Wars was the discourse around Star Wars just becoming so insufferable, and Disney tripping over itself like a terrible parent just shoving an interchangeable pallet of sloppy quickly made half-baked poo poo in front of the kid who won't stop crying ever and hates every configuration it comes in and then throwing it all in the trash and going "WHAT DO YOU WAAAAAANT?!" in exasperation was just too much.

Kill Star Wars completely, please. If only to make Star Wars fans shut the gently caress up.

sports are boring as poo poo. It's one thing to play a sport and another thing to watch it, especially when you're watching two teams you're absolutely not invested in for any reason. And even then!!

Lots of people love Diddy Kong Racing, but that game made my blood boil as a kid. To this day, it's the only game that has made me angry enough to throw controllers. Cheating bastard racers :argh:

Maybe that belongs in the "unpopular game opinions" thread, whatever!!
