Two occupants of a car that exploded after it sped the wrong way into an inspection booth at the Rainbow Bridge were killed in the blast, according to law enforcement sources at the scene.

All local bridges to Canada including Lewiston-Queenston, Whirlpool and the Peace Bridge in Buffalo have all been closed to traffic following a car explosion at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls.

The Wednesday morning incident shut down all international crossings in the Western New York area.

Traveling down Niagara Street, the car sped onto the bridge plaza, went through a fence separating the inbound lanes from the outbound lanes, and toward the inspection lanes where it exploded, according to law enforcement sources.

Two occupants in the car were killed in the explosion.

I see nothing to indicate a car bomb. No shrapnel damage, cars are parked close by with no window damage and the debris just looks like standard car crash debris.

Edit some stuff is coming out about explosives being found in the car which if true then they hosed something up and that poo poo didn't detonate how they wanted.

Often the point or terrorist attacks isn't so much do a bunch of damage or kill a bunch of people, it's to provoke a reaction. Attacking a friendly border checkpoint does that.
