The NBA and the Thunder need to rethink just giving Giddey a pass until investigations are done considering his team is fighting this through the media as evidenced by the CODE Sports story out of Australia that was then rehashed in the NY Post. It already looked bad before this but it's getting ridiculous. One of their big arguments against Ja was how bad it looks for the NBA, but Giddey will probably continue to get loud boos at every away game. Ja didn't never got that level of hate and probably won't when he returns.

As a Thunder fan I don’t actually care much what happens to Giddey one way or another. Based on what’s happening on the court his future is likely “attractive trade piece”. In the day of AI deepfakes, it would be incredibly stupid for the players union to accept a major penalty for unconfirmed claims. And no, I am not insinuating that this specific case is in any way faked by AI...but opening up the precedence would be a huge mistake. I realize I probably sound like a tin foil hat nutcase, but thats the reality we live in.
