There’s a ton of beautiful and ancient sites from Ireland, and taking a trip to Ireland is one of the things on my bucket list. What are your favorite ruined and ancient places from Ireland?

I live in North America and according to a genealogy test I took I can trace my family back to an Irish Duke.

So what I'm saying is to stay the gently caress away from my castles.

There was a GHOST here.
It's gone now.
Spent a couple of weeks roadtripping around Ireland as a kid. We pulled over on the side of the road to buy strawberries from a little stand just casually set up next to some probably 1000 year-old ruin.

Really neat poo poo. Almost unfathomable as an American.

No thanks, I like my ruins fresher than that.

I'm sure I can buy strawberries by a spooky old Sears if I wanted to.

Maybe that ancient european royalty had some kind of sex addiction. And their illegitimate or otherwise descendants came into an america to escape it.

Then what if those descendants inherited the same affliction or curse.

Hard to say, the jury is still out whether genetics are real or not.

It makes the wall scroll they sell with your last name on it more interesting. Mine should say “Crawled out of a bog in Sligo and came to America in 1956 to make a few bucks.”

As an Irish person the ruins excite me as it means our ancestors once had places to live. (this cryptic comment brought to you by modern Ireland's dysfunctional housing market)

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

Okay that abandoned protestant church is the number one ruin in Ireland now due to the charming pissing horse.
