Problem description: I cleaned my pc with air which involved unplugging the monitor etc and moving the pc to the middle of room. On setting it back up and booting in everything looked blurry/jagged. It gave me a message saying "wrong cable, use the dual link dvi cable". I have happily used the current set up for years (using a dvi cable). Attempted fixes: I can temporarily fix the problem by changing the resolution in the system settings away from the native 1920x 1080 (recommended) to something else and then back again. It's just when the pc restarts the problem comes back. It's on the correct setting by default, so I'm not sure what I can change? Recent changes: No other changes apart from the unplugging have been made. Operating system: Windows 10 System specs: GTX 1080 I have Googled and read the FAQ: Yes

I'd try running DDU https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4796 and then reinstalling the latest GPU drivers.
