Who is Pat Mcaffee for? I've never watched this show before. Its just been one coked out run on sentence.

He's a "fun" excited rah rah SPORTS guy who on his own is relatively harmless and sometimes funny.

He's less offensive than the Barstool folks.

He also is unfortunately good friends with Aaron Rodgers who he lets launder his garbage on his show.

You don't go to him for insightful coverage.

He just talks about stuff and says things in an excited "bro" manner.

Some of his like non Rodgers interviews can be good because players open up to him and they talk about random actual fun bullshit but yeah.

He pays Rodgers to be there

Originally he wasn't paying Rodgers. Rodgers just did it because he's friends with AJ Hawk and Pat(and probably because it gave him a platform where he'd get no pushback to his bullshit). Then Rodgers appearances did loving bonkers numbers and essentially got Pat more sponsorships and views and made him poo poo tons of money. And eventually put him on ESPN"s radar and got him that deal.

Once Pat saw those numbers he cut Rodgers a check as a friend. And continued to pay him because it was good business for him.

I'm fine with benching him or whatever to make sure he doesn't get hurt. But to try and pressure someone to waive their injury protection is just completely evil...

Pulling the bandaid off with Russ' contract is probably the right thing to do, but trying to hold him ransom is messed up. It will be interesting to see where he ends up next season. No one will want to throw a real contract at him at this point, but there are enough teams that need a QB that I'm sure someone will offer a 1 year contract to prove himself. The question is if he is willing to compete to start and take a lot less money at this point.

Russ has been fine this year. Especially considering that his Coach clearly didn't want him lol.

Some team will offer him a decent chunk of change. Nothing longer than 3 years at the absolute most but he will make some money

Hard to get counting stats when teams just stop loving punting or kicking to you. and instead take 20 -30 yards of field position loss instead.

if PR/KR is a position for the Pro-Bowl/All-pro teams.

It should count as a position for hall of fame consideration imo.

So yeah, I'm fine with like Hester, and like Patterson even to get in there.

Hester also wasn't like terrible at reciever on the whole, he was just bad at like being the X. Which is what the Bears p much had him playing because they neglected to ever try and upgrade at the WR position.

Should have never been anything more than a gadget or 3rd or 4th reciever who's dangerous enough with the ball in his hand and fast enough that you have to respect him. But yeah, lmao he was going up against number 1 corners and yeah, his route running and refinement never got good enough to reliably beat that.
