Nothing much jumping out at me instantly besides Dungeon Meshi. I'll give a Shaman King Sequel ago since Ryunosuke is in the trailer and if he's the fun uncle to a rude son of Yoh I think that could be fun. I'll give the The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic and the gay romance with the terrible title a go. And maybe Hokkaido Gals with 0 knowledge about it.

Of this list I can say that these are at least worth a look: -Unwanted Undead Adventurer has a pretty good manga, the art makes the whole thing feel really moody. Some of the later skills the MC shows get a bit silly, but look it's LitRPG/fantasy poo poo you know what you're signing up for. -7th Loop. Good story with a cool FL who does poo poo. Has a problem of forgiving villains a bit too easily, but if you can get past that this story is cool. -Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. You are already healed. -Weakest Tamer. Good manga but maaaaaaaan it take a while before it stops making GBS threads on the main character. YMMV. Less hype about -lvl 99 Villainess. Had some good gags but not enough that I'd go out of my way to recommend it. Not bad, but not stellar.

things on my radar: Dungeon Meshi: this is a shoe-in for AOTY imo, I really don't think they'll gently caress this up if Trigger does this on the level of that first animated short for DM they did. my #1 or #2 all-time favorite manga ever, I've been waiting for this adaptation for YEARS The Unwanted Undead Adventurer: this one is a pseudo-isekai, in that it's not from another world, but a "failed" adventurer who dies and reincarnates as a monster. I've been reading the manga for it for a while and it's pretty good! interested to see if the anime adaptation is also any good. The Foolish Angel Dances With The Devil: I love this series, as far as romcoms go it's pretty dang funny and Akutsu and Amane are super entertaining together. it can get EXTREMELY horny at times(I think the author used to do porn and they stopped once this took off, according to the comments on it. certainly explains a lot) but the premise of Angels and Demons living undercover on earth to investigate each other's realms is a neat one, and the characters are fantastic, it can go from a silly SOL romcom to a deadly serious battle manga in an instant, and back again. the humor is also great. I look forward to the representation of desire between the two MCs as anthropomorphic dog and cat hajime no ippo boxers lovingly animated. My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me!: this is one of my favorite current isekai. It's One Punch Man but for isekai, you've got a fantasy world that so regularly has people get transported to it that they've adapted much of our world's technology and regularly have dozens of isekai'd people with superpowers roaming around causing havoc and devastation, basically everyone is ridiculously overpowered and often representations of other isekai series. The main character and his friend are abandoned to die at the start for not having powers, but Takatou has his own power: just by thinking it or detecting malicious intent, he can kill anyone and anything. period. The series starts out using this as you'd expect, but as the manga of it I've been reading continued, it gets more and more apparent how insanely ridiculous he is, and not in your typical isekai protag way, but like, "one of the most broken characters in literally anything". The series mostly has the one gag, but does it exceptionally well, like OPM. The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic: another one of my favorite isekai, because the MC is given power, but absolutely shows you his growth throughout as he takes the otherwise relatively mundane ability of "basically has JRPG Regen self-healing on at all times" and shows you how he learns to use that to his advantage. The setting is pretty standard "fantasy world, demon king army, yadda yadda" but the MC doesn't become the hero, rather he's a support character whose ability he uses to be part of the Rescue Squad, a group of skilled battlefield "medics" who dash into the middle of a warfront and grab wounded soldiers to drag back to the backlines where proper healers can save them. Good storytelling, good characters, good humor, this is definitely a solid one to keep an eye on. things I am curious about: Gushing Over Magical Girls: I feel like I read the first few chapters of the manga of this when it first started and it seemed like an interesting idea where a wannabe magical girl gets her chance to be one but ends up as the villain, but also seemed super creepy at times in the bad way, and dropped it. and looking at the website for it, it certainly doesn't help that image. is it actually any good? Tsukimichi being animated fixed a lot of the issues with pacing and perspective shifts with its story and Banished has always been a hit for me since it has two cool leads who do cool stuff and are into each other.I want S2 for Quittin' Heroing even though it's not really an isekai either

So, along with my three faves from last season (Frieren, The Apothcary Diaries, Shangri La Frontier), I'm going to be trying these: Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon) - It's TRIGGER, and I'll always give anything by them at least a shot. Read the first four chapters of the manga and stopped when I heard it was being animated, but what I read so far was an interesting setup and after watching that short they did for the manga a couple years back I'm dead certain the right folks are doing this adaptation. I'm always up for more food porn.  Gekkan Mousou Kagaku (Delusional Monthly Magazine) - This just looks like crazy fun full of zany antics. (Whatever happened to zany antics, anyway? I miss them.) The trailer animation was gorgeous, and hey, that dog is a charmer. Besides, I've often been told I'm delusional, so kindred spirits and all that. Harimaware! Koinu (Stick It Around! Koinu) - I do like a nice shorts series as an appetizer, and this one looks like it will be fun with a slight touch of silly. Isekai de Mofumofu Nadenade suru Tame ni Ganbattemasu (Fluffy Paradise) - Or as the translation of the title goes, "I Got Reincarnated to Save Another World But I Just Want to Pet Animals." Honestly, that's all I want out of life as well. Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san (Mr. Villain's Day Off) - Speaking of fluffy animals, PANDAS! This looks like another silly, yet charming series, and at this stage of my life I need as many of those as I can get. Pon no Michi (The Way of Pon) - Maybe it's because I'm rapidly approaching senior citizenhood, but right now a slice-of-life show based around mahjong sounds really appealing.  Sasaki to Pii-chan (Sasaki and Peeps) - I'd read the first couple chapters of the manga, but when someone in the Fall 2023 thread explained this as "Random salaryman purchases magic bird played by Aoi Yuki..." I interrupted reading with STOP DRILLING, YOU HIT OIL. It's Aoi Yuki's world, we're just living in it. Urusei Yatsura (2022) 2nd Season - David Productions has been nailing this remake, and I'm looking forward to another season of the Alpha Waifu, Lum. On the maybe list: Himesama "Goumon" no Jikan desu ('Tis Time for "Torture," Princess) - the premise isn't all that unique (What if the Sleepy Princess was hungry instead?), but it could be okay. If they run the gag into the ground, at least it'll be funny once. We hope. Metallic Rouge - While this looks like it could be really impressive (bones doing a good mech show? NAHHHHHHHH...  ), I'm just not in the mood for a mech show right now. If it does turn out to be good, I could use it for filler if Spring or Summer look empty.Saijaku Tamer wa Gomi Hiroi no Tabi wo Hajimemashita (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash) - "Isekai slime-tamer" pushes all the wrong buttons for me these days, but somehow the trailer looked appealing enough for me to at least consider it. And I haven't touched on series like "Solo Leveling" that aren't of interest to me, but which still looks to be excellent fare for shonen fans. I don't understand folks saying there's nothing good this season. They must be the type who look at a fridge full of food and say there's nothing to eat because none of it is filet mignon or lobster.
