I absolutely love this take on mimics as being like hermit crabs, wearing treasure chests, helmets, etc as shells.

And a bonus callback to treasure bugs and some information on how they interact...

This show just gets better and better week after week. Really enjoying the ride.

Absolutely love all the very well thought out details about the various monsters, dungeon ecology, etc.

Ryoko Kui's takes on fantasy creatures have been incredible. Basically every take on a concept so far has immediately shot up to be my favorite.

It's so crazy creative and well-thought out. I love it.

The show leans so very hard on classic TTRPG/CRPG creatures and tropes but instead of being yet another Generic Fantasy World it reimagines and builds a fascinating world around them.

I was not expecting things to get quite THAT dark... though perhaps I should have!

There are a number of indications, even before the fight with the red dragon, that this setting isn't quite so clean and silly fun as it first appears.

Laios's death to the Animated Armor in the flashback. Namari's death by Undine. Both are swift and brutal and not at all bloodless.

Well, yeah, you can't have somebody who has actually consumed instant ramen just explain it because that'd be "original research."

Ah, wikipedia...
