It's not like they care about the originality, they are more concerned about the model actually spewing out the original song, the same way image generators are spewing out training data. Try and translate a song with an automatic translator into german for example (but only select languages, others it lets through just fine) - you will see the exact same error, and it's not because it cares about the content, but because automatic translator uses GPT too, is what I suspect. I have nothing to back any of this up other than my own experimenting, I have tried forcing it to do the lyrics every which way, even did letter substitutions with cyrillic characters, like O to cyrillic O etc, but because it uses text prediction it doesn't care what letters are actually substituted, all it cares about is the text prediction against the database. One fun thing to do is to paste empty utf-8 character such as "⠀" (Unicode Character “⠀” (U+2800) into the text box, because as long as it has *something* it doesn't care, it just needs any noise. And I've left genre empty. I've discovered that all of the songs I generated with just empty characters sounded... familiar. Yes the lyrics are garbled, but I believe this is the actual training data it's spewing at me, and given enough credits and time I bet I can even find a song I recognize out of all these.
