I remember reading stupid culture journalists complaining about TD season 2 and saying they could redeem the show by linking it back to the 'mystery' of the first season.

And, yeah, maybe that'd be neat but also you could just make a good show instead that stands on its own.

But I also liked season 3 and I don't know what the consensus is on that.
