Punch Drunk Love was my introduction to PSH, I loved his role in it. I should give that another watch it's been over a decade since I last saw it.

I didn't like that Jon Hamm survived. His character was a narcissist with a messiah complex, he'll be smugly satisfied no matter what happens to him. There's no humbling people like that, he was a bad seed and a mad dog and he needed to be killed horribly, on-screen for the good of the world and, more importantly, for the satisfaction of the audience.

Calling Deep Space Nine a "gritty deconstruction" of Star Trek is frankly insane. Challenging the ideals of the Federation is not the same as tearing them down.

On a fundamental level DS9 embraces the same ideals as the rest of Star Trek but it approaches those ideals as something that we constantly strive for rather than something we've already achieved.

I hope there are more Odo episodes with the PUA hologram.

I saw this on Reddit and there were comments debating if they were prop or herbal cigarettes. Teenagers think it's more likely that a middle-aged drunk would spend the effort to get some herbal cigarettes for a youtube video instead of just taking a few puffs from a normal cigarette. Kinda cute.
