Honestly, I do think there is something deeply weird with Trump right now. I don't know if his mental decline has gotten a lot worse, he actually is broke, he is depressed, but he is not doing the like like really minimal basic stuff to run a political campaign, he isn't doing major fundraising, he isn't going to battleground states, he is barely doing rallies. His messaging is insane and not even like his insane political stuff that people like, it's just a constant flow of weird personal grievances. His campaign site doesn't even have any job listings but it's recruiting volunteers? You need people to organize volunteers and figure out what they need to do before you get a bunch of volunteers "recruited". That is not how political organizing or fundraising works.

It's easy and true to say that the Trump campaign is run by idiot clowns but tons of things run by idiot clowns understand like the very basic things you need to do raise money and organize volunteers.

He doesn't want to be president. He hated it the first time. The only reason he's running at all is because winning and pardoning himself is the only out he has at this point. His handlers are probably begging him to do more, but he will likely do gently caress all and just whine about the election being rigged before, during, and after the election day.

Trump would have made more money had he lost the first election, and could have kept not-running and just based it on the GOP hating him, and been grifting nonstop.

I wonder if he knows that now.

They probably hired people who only give them good polls

That, and also he desperately needs to be vindicated about his claims that he didn't actually lose 2020. Trump can't have lost, that would make him a Loser, so he needs to beat Biden this time to show that 2020 was a fluke where Biden cheated and actually he's a real Winner who Wins at everything.

He wants to win, but it's not so he can be president, it's so he can say he won. It's the same reason he ran in 2016, to prove to OBAMNA that he COULD actually win a presidential election IF HE REALLY WANTED TO.

The one priority Trump pushed for the RNC was putting together apparatus for contesting the election. Why bother spending money on GOTV when you're going to sue anyway?

Except the message in 2020 is let Trump be Trump, no one expected or believed in him the first time and he inexplicably pulled off a win. The first time he had the campaign apparatus, the second time he had lost a lot of it and the third time is just destroy the whole thing? It's like against all evidence, people misunderstood the results of the first campaign, the RNC had a shot at getting a racist baboon rapist elected president if they managed to keep their people together.

People/Trump say he won despite the RNC, I think there is more evidence that he won because the RNC promised there would be adults in the room to control him.

Trump still regularly telling people not to vote for him is pretty telling.
For as many foreground Republicans who are washing their hands of Trump's bullshit, the attrition rate behind the scenes has to be worse. Especially after he gutted the RNC.

With Trump, it was really like a switch as soon as Haley dropped out and he locked up the nomination. He just...stopped.
It's weird, because the only political thing he loved doing was speaking at rallies, feeding on the crowd's applause and energy while he threw them red meat and let his ugliest impulses run free. He hated everything else (hosting fundraising dinners, debate prep, issues briefings, strategy meetings, etc.) but he loved standing in front of a crowds and trying out his latest insulting nicknames. And he's all but completely stopped doing them, even though the general election is now on.

I suspect it's because his health (physical and cognitive) is so shot that he can't do those rallies more than occasionally, and when he does do a rally they have to gas him up on stims so much that he really loses control of his mushbrain and start talking about how President Obamna is unfairly prosecuting him or whatever. He's just cooked.

He doesn't even do that thing he used to do when he'd sit for interviews with or phone in to talk to Fox or Newsmax or some other friendly channel. When he was president he would sometimes call Fox multiple times a week to get put live on the air to complain about whatever was pissing him off at that moment. But now, he doesn't bother.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign is seeking to outraise President Joe Biden next week, aiming to take in more than $33 million to top a new single-event fundraising record set by Biden on Thursday with $25 million, said a person familiar with the Trump event who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal planning.

Trump is inviting wealthy donors to Palm Beach, Florida, home to his Mar-a-Lago estate, for an April 6 fundraiser hosted by New York hedge fund billionaire John Paulson and listing as co-chairs other high-dollar donors such as Las Vegas-based businessman Robert Bigelow, casino mogul Steve Wynn and New York grocery billionaire John Catsimatidis. Guests are being asked to contribute $814,600 per person as a “chairman” contributor or $250,000 per person. Perks of attendance include a personalized copy of Trump’s coffee table book with photographs from his administration.

So sort of. The Q account essentially stopped posting after J6, and the stuff that has come out since November of 2020 has been suspect at best even by the standards of the long term Q heads. There were a few major losses in the Qmunity before then, though. The Q Map guy getting arrested and having his site shut down meant there was one fewer method to induct people to the movement or for people to explain the whole conspiracy theory. The Save The Children movement that popped up in mid to late 2020 was HEAVILY Q influenced, but was separate from Q stuff. They believed that the elites were pedophiles, the media was involved or complicit and there started to be a more spiritualist bent to the whole thing as a lot of the crystals-and-star-chart types started to fall into the trap.

There are still a ton of old school Q people who built up a brand around the Q posts, still people who believe Obama will/has been executed in Gitmo, the woman running to be in charge of schools in NC wants this, for example. The truth is that the "election was stolen" people and the "everyone is a pedo" folks have become a single circle Venn Diagram and that's modern Q. There's a bunch of wild beliefs, they fall into Q influenced areas, but Q today is just largely Republican party beliefs.

Roger Stone was going to prison but Trump commuted his sentence like the literal next day after he got convicted ala Bush and Scooter Libby. The only way Stone will ever see the inside of a jail cell is if he's tried and convicted again on another completely unrelated crime he's committed, of which there are many to chose from, but the US legal system is kinda :nallears: when it comes to prosecuting rich white guys.

Bannon's supposed to go jail for four months for defying the January 6th committee subpoena, but he keeps getting his report to jail date delayed because he's one of those cockstains who gets away with everything like Alex Jones and Jornaldh Tropsm

Hispanic is not a race, it's a cultural/ethnic identity. If you don't consider yourself Hispanic, you aren't hispanic.

To expand, my birth father's family is a mix of Spanish and southern native American and very strongly view themselves as ethnically and culturally hispanic/latino. They absolutely do not view me as hispanic/latino. They would welcome me if I chose to make their family and traditions are part of my life as a hispanic/latino person, but, they just consider me generic white guy that kind of looks vaguely Mediterranean.
