I really like the changes they made to introduce the book 2 characters right from the beginning. It really makes more sense from a TV show continuity perspective to do it this way, rather than how it was done in the book, particularly if planning for additional seasons.

The quantum entanglement the sophons use isn’t actually scientific is it?

It's based in a current theory, but I don't believe that "long distance" has been tested at the scale shown in 3 Body.

The new edition of the audiobook is narrated by Rosalind Chao, which is kinda fun

Is she doing it in her normal voice or that weird not-British not-Chinese accent she does in the show?

Some more things that I thought was super lazy:

Whisking people away into hiding in a safe house, but letting them bring their phones with all of their location tracking apps.

Setting up a secret base of operations, with the location being guarded (one of the characters quips about how one of the other characters told another one of the characters the location) but also letting everyone bring their phones in, and also it's not really a secret because a random company was able to deliver the plaque to the secret base.

The enemy being capable of taking over total control over the driving system of an arbitrary vehicle

The target immediately getting into a jet and it flies perfectly safely

The cars were explicitly said to be autonomous self-driving cars. Presumably, they can't hack vehicles with human drivers / pilots.

If they are able to exert positive control over a car's electronics, that is way more powerful than only needing to exert negative control over a plane in order to make it crash.
