The first major New Japan US show of the year starts in a few hours in San Jose. The Matt Riddle booking is very unfortunate but the rest of the card looks really good by NJPW-US standards. Three really solid to great looking top of the card matches and some fun lower card stuff like the CMLL offer match. Hopefully the X is someone cool at least who lasts longer than Riddle. Like most US shows it is a PPV. Its an affordable one fortunately at US$19.99 on Fite/Triller. Japanese feed is available for those in that country free on World. Are the commentary team micced up WAY high for anybody else? I had to crank down the volume to get them at what felt a reasonable level but lost a lot of the crowd noise, so pushed it back up and the commentary is just blasting my ears.

The sound was pretty abysmal for the Lonestar Shootout show iirc. And the Royal Quest show. Idk why they can't get their sound right when they ain't in Japan
