didn’t people here not feel like watching the super bowl after that game too

That 79 means basically 79 percent of all TVs that were on in Detroit were watching the game, correct?

If so, what the hell were those other 21 percent watching? Mama’s Family?

Had the idea of turning my house into a casino in honor of Vegas SB location.

Realizing I'm the house so I might make money off my friends and second guessing that idea. Maybe I'll stick to serving snacks and drinks and not running a whole rear end casino like it's the prohibition

Probably zero considering I don't know any Chiefs or Niners fans here, though the city's Chiefs bar is walkable from my house if I suddenly become desperate to watch it with folks.

Do people still host Super Bowl watch parties if they're neutral observers? I remember going to a friend's house for Pats-Falcons and I don't think anyone in attendance had a particular preference for either side.

I did not expect TFF of all places to ask the question “do people watch the Super Bowl if their team isn’t in it”. I mean Jesus we willingly watch dogshit TNF games like Pats Steelers. Hell yeah I am gonna have a bunch of food and beer and yell at the TV with my buds

I'm much more likely to go to a SB party if my team *isn't* in it, because if my team is I'm gonna be too stressed and want to focus entirely on the game

yeah, that was basically my experience. i was living with my sister at the time and she was watching the game in the living room while i was hold up in my bedroom watching it on my computer (probably found some stream). i got to hear her yelling about the jacoby jones kickoff return TD before i saw it

Yeah this. For a game where I feel like I have a stake. Leave me the gently caress alone. I'm watching alone.

If I dont care I just want a close good game and will be social as can be.

It's amazing what they can do with computers these days.

The Super Bowl is for eating as many different dips as possible over a four hour period. So having a party helps with that, but not necessarily required.

The Pro Bowl is for those who perform their best in the regular season but aren't good enough to succeed in the playoffs.

Therefore, the Pro Bowl is the Cowboys' Super Bowl.

oh man just when I couldn't love the head coach hiring more

https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...hy/72406984007/

quote:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Dave Canales is ready to begin his journey as head coach of the Carolina Panthers just 16 months after co-authoring a faith-based book about working through problems with his sexual infidelity, addiction to pornography and binge drinking.

The book “This Marriage? The Question That Changed Everything” was written by Canales and his wife Lizzy. It details how the 42-year-old coach has worked to overcome his problems and the couple has found its way back to a healthy Christian-based marriage.

Canales wrote that with the help of counseling and family he no longer has issues with infidelity or pornography and that he has stopped drinking completely.[/quote[

...

Canales also described himself as a recovering narcissist, and detailed how he had to work at “developing the skills necessary to be aware beyond myself and my needs.”

...

In the book’s foreword, former NFL coach Tony Dungy wrote: “Unlike so many couples today, they didn’t let their marriage wither away. They wouldn’t let it go. So instead, David and Lizzy resolved to get things back on the right track and rediscover that sense of purpose and that intimacy they had at the beginning. I’m happy to let you know they have done just that.”
