Offensive players can also take plays off and not give 100% when they know the playcall isn't going to involve them. No such luck on defense. Every free defender is rallying to the ball.

Completely unrelated, the official CBS 4k stream of the game was by far the best looking football broadcast I have ever seen. I was watching on a 77" OLED and it looked spectacular. I'd like to imagine in the near future streams of that quality become the norm.

BTW I read that that was the last time old those old guys on CBS's pre-game and half-time show are likely to be employed as their contracts were all expiring at the end of this season. James Brown has signed a new contract, but Bill Cowher, Boomer Esiason and Phil Simms could all be gone.
