Michael Robinson. At Penn State, he filled in at a few skill positions occasionally before having a great season at QB ending with a triple-overtime Orange Bowl victory and even a few Heisman votes. (Only a few, but still!) Drafted as an RB in the NFL, ended his career as a fullback. Played in the Pro Bowl one year as the fullback alternate, and retired immediately after winning a ring with the Seahawks (he caught a pass in that 43-8 blowout over Denver).

Stewart Bradley. A rare, actually good Eagles LB. Not like amazing, just not some average-below average dude that fills out a roster slot. Got concussed repeatedly. Ended up with the Cards where he got concussed more and was out of the league pretty quick.

He was the guy whose most notable thing was he called a security guard at a concert a slur. Chip Kelly loved him though.

EDIT: Also it wasn't just the security guard, he said he'd fight all of... them... in the building.

Shonn Grenne is definitely one of those guys whose career lined up just perfectly with my interest in football for him to be more memorable in my mind than he deserves (had his big breakout year in Iowa when I was a senior in college watching my own Big Ten team, was the workhorse on the Jets when I started following the NFL closely, including the first years I came to New York, etc.)

Greene checks some of those boxes for me too. One of my earliest fantasy football memories is enjoying that 3 touchdown game with the Jets (against the Colts).

If one more person lists him this thread is going to become the Shonn Greene Appreciation Station. And I'm okay with that.

Dude was 0-10 as a starter and the 8tds, 9ints and 1700ish yards in his entire career. Only QB in NFL history to start 8+ times and not record a win

Curtis Painter went 0-8 in the Colts "Suck for Luck" season.
