He was an avowed Marxist and even though he wasn't very well-read in theory he believed in the cause and that workers were exploited and saw a lot of problems in society and wanted to make them better. He believed in this so strongly he moved to the Soviet Union. He married a foreign waifu. When the USSR didn't work out and he moved back to America he wanted to move to Cuba. He stood on the street corner and did activism in favor of Cuba against American imperialism. He killed the imperialist President of the USA and he killed a polceman ACAB. But rather than being a hero of socialism he is reviled. Is it because he actually took action instead of complaining on the internet?

Its honestly the greatest irony in American history lol. A hardcore leftist manages to kill the president to support an embattled socialist state, and forever after is seen as, at best, a stooge for the CIA.

Most people don't believe the CIA conspiracy theories. I literally only ever run into it on these forums.

in my experience more people believe in some vague conspiracy even if they don't specifically say CIA but they never have a good theory they just say something like "idk it feels weird". but in all my reading nothing makes more sense than Oswald acting alone

Conversely it’s far more rare to see people wonder if John Wilkes Boothe did something good, especially now that half the country is pretending that Lincoln was a maga republican

a lot of people like to think "everything happens for a reason" and the thought of someone single-handedly destroying ~~*~camelot~*~~ is just too terrifying to consider, so of course it had to be the result of a nefarious conspiracy

imo it's one of the more pernicious beliefs that old people cling to, the notion that everything would have been so much better if jfk hadn't been killed and had served two terms as president

TBF, apparently JFK was much more of a hardass about Israel than his successor, especially regarding their nuclear weapons programme which he put them under a lot of pressure about.

Of course for conspiracists that adds Mossad to the list of people who killed him.

I dislike how I see lots of half assed internet leftists try to act like Hinckley was cool when

1. He failed
2. He was doing it because he was a weird pervert about Jodi Foster (and implied pedo considering that he was obsessed with her in Taxi Driver specifically)

and if you're going to cite the vietnam war i don't think it is certain that jfk would necessarily have pulled out

this is what's fascinating about the story, and I've never heard anyone use the exact phrase "head had main character syndrome" but it fits so very well

and what makes it such an incredible coincidence and amazing random occurence of fate. imagine you had main character syndrome and one day you read in the newspaper that the president is driving right by your window at work and you already own the rifle and you want to be famous, how could you not act given such great circumstances?

I mean it just seems like the only reason he did it is "because he could" but people don't want to accept that as an answer. But it still seems like the most likely theory to me.

Nixon was a ratfucker who happened to be in the right places at the right times. Its really hard to say if the stars would've aligned for him, especially after losing in 1960.

also w/r/t withdrawing from Vietnam - it seems doubtful that JFK would've supported the ARVN after they assassinated Diem and his brother, regardless if JFK had already considered a coup to replace him. :tinfoil: Especially after they were shot in Roman Catholic priest robes :tinfoil:

I feel like ballistics and physical evidence 100% points to the only shots coming from the 6th floor window from the book depository fired from the rifle owned by Oswald and I will not listen to any theories beyond that.

I also feel like all the evidence I've heard points to it being Oswald being the lone shooter acting alone not part of a conspiracy but I am slightly more open to listening to conspiracies about that because I can never say 100% that that's right but I have never heard a theory that has convinced me more than the Warren Commission story
