someone posted this image in discord: and I made a terrible(?) decision IT HAS ARRIVED  BEHOLD ITS GLORY  $310 shipped, only used once, still has the box, only thing missing is the gigantic vertical tank operations manual. so if someone has one of those laying around that's in good condition, let me know. it's kind of wild that it's still so cheap even today for a basically-new-in-box copy, that's only about a hundred bucks more than it retailed for.

it only just arrived and I've not gotten an adapter or anything yet, and my old xbox is not where I thought it was, so I'll have to find that when I have time. but I saw the listing that was complete and cheaper than the other ones available at the time and jumped on it. my plans were: have it in hand first, then figure out what to do with it. also at some point probably get Line of Contact, the sequel to steel battalion, but that is surprisingly expensive.

I think it'd be pretty funny to you just how fast you get out of midgar compared to the elaborate version we got in remake. It's still an incredibly good game and rightfully deserves its reputation, but it does have some cruft due to being such an old rpg. Still holds up shockingly well though.

we want what will never be I would love for them to do something with asura's wrath, a remaster that makes the combat better and improves the graphics(it looks good overall but textures are often pixelly up close) or an outright sequel somehow, sure I'd take it. the world of asura's wrath was incredible and the enemies and overall aesthetic ruled

I watched PJ Dicesare, a literal ghosts and goblins speedrunner, struggle with significant portions of Resurrection because it's hideously badly designed and some sections are nearly impossible even when incredibly skilled. also, bugs! You do not want significant bugs when a game is trying to be hard in the first place!
