Some photos I shot for an assignment, excuse the low res. Was a really cool experience.

There's also Nasa's stream from the ISS:

But all I'm seeing is some random coloured pixels, so possibly space is broken at the moment. :(

The knowledge that I'll never get to go to space makes me sad. Dig me up in 500 years and fling my ashes into the sun whenever spaceflight is affordable.

There are a lot more spaceships sitting here on earth than there are in space at any given point in time, and even the ones that are currently up there have spent most of their lives on earth. Shouldn't they be called earthships? This is like if I called myself an underwater man because I've swam underwater a bunch of times.

you can actually inflate your scrote pretty safely with sterile saline, syringes, needles, and aseptic technique. its a niche kink iirc

the saline just slowly gets absorbed into your blood but in the meantime you got a big round smooth distended nutsack

Pro-space propaganda... weed smoke dissipates in space, but the cloud is deeper, obscures more - there's black where the sun is brightest but that poo poo can still get you high. Allah, you praise him and he will attest to that too.

I grew up near this museum, I've been 10 feet away from this genuine Lunar Lander like a dozen times. It's so much shinier than any photo can capture!

mrs d8's cousin is doing space work at an observatory and did a lot of work on the horse head nebula which her boss took credit for in the magazine article about it.
then she passed up a chance to work at keck observatory because the altitude would be bad for her aging cats.
