The Dark ID stuff is wild because this means for like more than a decade he was just posting LPs with some incidental lies that boil down to 'has a family' and 'Yoko Taro sent me a gift bag once' before he started all the crazier stuff. That is a hell of a long ramp period.

did he ever like set up any kind of gofundme or anything? I can't even remember him scamming people or making money off this poo poo since the Patreon is explicitly for something he was actually doing at one point (streaming/making LPs). Instead just building up this insane alternate life that got more and more blatantly fake as time went on.

also lol @ how bioware refused to ever make any of the male characters people actually like gay/bi and instead introduced that one guy that absolutely no one likes just to say there was a gay option

it is probably true that gamers would riot if garrus, space batman, could be homo but idk if the same was true of thane

Honestly I like Steve but uh having his whole romance being him rebounding with Shepard like two weeks after his husband was brutally killed was dumb as hell.

It's insane how Makoto's S.Link starts out with "wow my friend is mad at me for constantly getting up in her business, but I'm only doing it to protect her." And then the actual S.Link is that she was right the whole time about her friends boyfriend, which means there's 0 moral message at all to be gleamed from it.

Yeah, Makoto has a bizarrely weak S.Link even among the relatively weak S.Links most of the Phantom Thieves have. It only means anything if you choose to date her because then at least it functions as a pretense she used to ease herself into dating instead of just being nothing.

Cruise ship was weird for same reason spaceship was because all of the other ones are themed around heist movie settings. Art Museum, Bank, Pyramid (grave robbers are p famous), Casino, Castle (Lupin III goes to castles a lot including his most famous adventure Cagliostro where it’s in the literal title)

Then cruise ship??? And spaceship??? What famous heist stories took place on a UFO?

I mean its specifically a Star Wars pastiche and uh a New Hope is built around an offscreen heist (which we see in Rogue One) and a undercover rescue on the Death Star.

hatchet had sequels?

I know the guy also wrote a book that was survival but ON AN ALIEN WORLD because the kid got teleported

e: yeah it was transall

I think Hatchet has branching timeline sequels. One where the kid ends up disillusioned and goes back to solitude after like a decade and one where some idiot survivalist expert is like 'wow lets go back out and write a book based on your experiences' and the plane crashes again and they get stuck in the woods again except with a knife this time.

Edit: Yeah the weird 'lets write a book!' thing was the original sequel then there's a trilogy that disregards it and carries on after an alternate ending to the original where he gets stuck in the woods longer than normal and becomes like a complete hermit who's homeschooling himself at 15.

My primary exposure to Final Fantasy was through the first few Kingdom Hearts games before I stopped following those. I did get The Story So Far Collection that came out ahead of KH3 so I could catch up on Leon and see if his gunblade is still cool. Hmm but then I'd have to play loving Chain of Memories again...

Do not worry, KH3 just doesn't have any Final Fantasy stuff outside the spells.
