WE WILL CONTROL
ALL THAT YOU SEE
AND HEAR
It's slow season at my work and to pass the time one of my coworkers had the idea to put together themed playlists by going around with a clipboard and getting everyone to write down their favourite song based on a certain criteria. Some are a cinch, some are more difficult. I'm bored as heck and not feeling motivated so I figured I'd try it out here. I'll get the ball rolling with some of the prompts I remember, feel free to add some criteria and I'll see about updating the OP with them.

Your favourite song about a woman (or with a woman's name in the title)
Little Richard - Long Tall Sally (close second Rick Springfield - Jessie's Girl)

Your favourite anti-war/protest song
Rise Against - Hero Of War

A song with your favourite guitar solo
Protest the Hero - Blindfolds Aside (close second Jethro Tull - Aqualung)

A song that you have to play _fucking loud_
Mick Gordon - BFG Division

Your favourite breakup song
Taking Back Sunday - Cute Without the 'E' (Cut From the Team)

Your favourite jazz standard
Herbie Hancock - Chameleon

Your favourite TV theme song
Kelsey Grammer - Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs

Your favourite song in a foreign language

Your favourite song about food (or with a food in the title)
Presidents of the United States of America - Peaches (close second Schoolboy Q - Collard Greens)

Your life and your quest end here.

Your favourite song about a woman (or with a woman's name in the title)
Dolly Parton - Jolene

Your favourite anti-war/protest song
Chumbawamba - Walking Into Battle with the Lord

A song with your favourite guitar solo
Mason Williams - Classical Gas
I'm not generally a fan of guitars at all; they're pleasant enough background for someone to sing over. I like Classical Gas though. Dunno why it's the exception.

A song that you have to play _fucking loud_
Mojo Nixon - You Can't Kill Me

Your favourite breakup song
Go West - King Of Wishful Thinking

Your favourite jazz standard
I don't know what that means.

Your favourite TV theme song
Julie Driscoll and Adrian Edmondson - This Wheel's on Fire
I'd probably say something else if you asked me on another day, depending on what I've been watching lately. Not that I've seen Absolutely Fabulous lately; last time I watched it was probably 20 years ago so I'm not sure why it came to mind.

Your favourite song in a foreign language
Ted Egan - Khala Khala - The Afghan Camel Drivers Song
This was a song I listened to a lot as a child because when dad bought his first CD player he also bought about 6 CDs and they were the only CDs we had for a long time, and this was on one of them. There are probably a lot of non-English songs I like better but I couldn't think of any off the top of my head so I went with this.

Your favourite song about a place (or named after a place)
The Waifs - London Still
Again, couldn't think of anything better off the top of my head. This is a good song though.

Your favourite song about food (or with a food in the title)
The Herd - Scallops
This is not a very good song but I do like it a lot. I'd probably come up with something better if I really thought about it though. I'd have been tempted to say Peaches if Mister Speaker hadn't already picked it.

Your favourite song about drugs or alcohol
Queens Of The Stone Age - Feel Good Hit Of The Summer

Your favourite song in an odd time signature (anything but 4/4 or 3/4)
I don't know anything about music so I've no idea.

Your favourite song written or performed by a bald guy
I don't even know what a lot of musicians I like look like so...

U2 – New Year’s Day

A song with your favourite guitar solo

Your favourite song about drugs or alcohol
