i like that Carolina Gold mustard based bbq sauce a lot. I get it from trader joes but made my own once and it was about the same.

Miracle whip is for making egg and tuna salad with, but I think that's just because it's what I grew up with and the missing tang substituting for mayonnaise leaves a hole in my taste buds. These days I add prepared horseradish and a splash of pickle juice as well.

I like the sweet and smoky BBQ sauce from Kansas on my BBq. It comes in spicy as well that isn't as sweet but that upsets my tummy now that I'm middle aged. It's a local chain of like 3 restaurants and it's reliaby good. They close at 8 so they can clean and put meat in the smoker for the next day. And they have a nice bar with onions and a couple kind of peppers and pickles and poo poo.

Ketchup and chili powder is what my mom used. Probably something else too. I was like 10. We also used to add green chilies and shredded cheddar cheese and toast them in the oven to melt the shredded cheese and toast the top bun before assembly. Did somebody work out the Planet Terror BBQ sauce recipe yet? It needed some blood, but the rest of the measurements and their ingredients are a mystery, other than ketchup, poo poo, salt, candy, slaw, tand, hurd and bres.

ok so its only barbecue sauce in name only, but japanese bbq sauce is loving AMAZING. i sous-vided a steak in a bag full of it, then turned the steak-infused sauce into gravy to pour over it afterwards. absolutely incredible.
