Pretty much all of the big cities and everything remotely relevant seem to be within 10 miles of the US save in Alberta. What's up in the northern parts of all of the other provinces. Have any goons spent time there? Or in the "territories" even?

If you walk far enough north into Canada you actually wind back up in America. Northern Canada is actually what the US confusingly calls Mexico. Anyway Canada's just been to polite to correct the US on this.

i have a relative (some 'once removed' cousin i think) who lives way up in the north end of british columbia, like getting close to the northwest territories. i think they moved up there to homestead or something? i have a vague memory of them saying something like they didn't have electricity until the late 90s. anyway i think they spent a whole lot of their time working the land.

I live in Canada near the boarder like most Canadians. I've been to Edmonton once, we only passed through to grab a rental car and drive down to Banff but I'd like to have to never experience Edmonton again. Banff and Jasper were hella cool though

We flew into Edmonton. Grabbed a car, drove down to Banff for a few days then drove back up to Jasper for a few days then back to Edmonton to fly out. I wasn't the one planning this trip but it worked out and was sick.

looking at the map again and yeah that makes sense if the plan was also to go to jasper. that's cool that you had fun! in retrospect i wish i had done my trip in a way that let me stop in banff for a day rather than blitz right through but oh well. maybe someday i'll go up there again, it was an incredibly pretty drive even before i got to banff.

The national parks in Alberta are beautiful AF. So you should make it happen. I want to go back out and spend way more time in just Jasper at some point.

As a teenager I used to fantasize about being on the run from the law, sneaking across the border, and making my way up somewhere in the furthest northern reaches of Canada. Just being a hard-working stranger who helps people out but has a mysterious past. Sounded like fun.

I live near Toronto and its way further than 10 miles from the border. Even if you go straight across the lake. Also a whole bunch of big rear end cities are further than 10 miles from the border.
