I have a hard enough time finding Mages that aren't wearing Stargazer.

Pretty good ROI for this game, especially considering I just started a second playthrough to play the vocations I haven't played yet (Mage, Spec, Trickster, Spearhand and Wayfarer).

I really hope they do a great DLC next year or so. Or just re-release BBI.

Also, I just found out you can link your Imgur account to the SA app and never touch Imgur again. Sweet.

I'm in the final phase of the game and I'm curious if it's worth poking around the world in it's current state, or should I just work through the final set of missions? I tried wandering around a bit and I keep getting Brine effect in weird unexpected places

An DLC to literally just port the entirety of Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen into this game would actually kind of own.

I tried out both the ng+ encounter mods and difficulty tweaks, and im more partial to the latter. The epic encounters mod makes every trek exhausting since they spawn enemies on act 1 that should have never been there and that looks goofy as well.

I beat the whole game using the Custom Difficulty mod and I highly recommend it. It improved the experience so much.

Do all the missions except the last one (when one single red pillar drops on the Seafloor town square. Just keep wandering and killing dragons as long as you can. You will find a few escort quests (e.g. Harve, Vernworth, Volcanic Island) as well. Try to find and kill all dragons for WLC, trade them in the aforementioned town with the Dragonforged for the best gear. Then when you get locked out (you're not really, you just can't rest in town anymore) buy and dragonforge all you want and head to NG+.

Yeah! It rules.

Since you can't mod the PS5 version, it is super rare to see it around. I think I've only seen it 4-5 times across all my pawn searches.

So it is way more of an eye-catcher on PS5.

At least 20-30% of all lady pawns I encounter on PS5 are wearing it. Only ever seen one guy pawn with it though.

straightforward male voice rules

It's the voice you give to the antagonist in an adventure movie so the audience cheers harder when he gets owned in the climax. Which is great for a character that's only on screen sometimes, not one that asks "shall we press on, masterrrr?" with gritted teeth every thirty seconds.

I love this game so much. I am just roaming around the world saving people, throwing goblins into ogres, exploring every area of the map.

This might be my GOTY.

My pawn, Old Ser hardly ever gets used. I am tempted to put his big burly old rear end in a corset and see if he gets picked more.

Despite it's flaws DD2 is my GOTY as well.

I have no idea what else could possibly come out this year that would knock it off the top spot for me.

By "right" does that mean you stopped her from killing the guy at the last second? Since the successful resolution seems to be to help her murder him, which definitely feels pretty un heroic in the moment even if he is a piece of poo poo.

You had to show the evidence to Brant, possibly in the right order, and say the right thing (I remember saying "I beg you" resulted in a "no") for him to agree to the coverup. He'll be a bit mad that you went ahead with the murder, but he'll keep his word about the coverup.

Wilhelmina's quest is easy to miss because you have to do both the other quests she intervenes in first, talk to her until she starts repeating text, and then increase her affinity a bit more (iirc one bunch of flowers will do it) before she'll offer it to you.

I never found the Wilhelmina quest. In the end when the crooked councillor guy tried to take the oxcarts for himself I just grabbed him and killed him. I think Brant said that was a little excessive but nothing came of it, lol

Also the Hugo quest legit felt like it bugged out for me. I talked to him in jail, got no information about the bandit leader. Tried to spring him, but the guards noticed and I had to fight. After that Hugo didn't want to leave. Then randomly later some guard tells me they caught another bandit who gave info, but Hugo was never to be seen again. I googled that I was supposed to be in Ancient battleground, but Hugo or the bandit leader weren't there. I never saw the leader again after the first cutscene with him. After that at some point some guard told me they had a fight there and were both killed. So that's that I guess.

You escape by the window post-murder and Brant is there and gives you a bollocking, but says he'll get you out. Wilhelmina says thank you, I guess you can follow Brant to leave safely but I was too dumb for it so the guards saw me and I had to run. Next day Wilhelmina was in her room for a romance scene, then after that she was nowhere to be found, which apparently is normal, but she can appear in the hot spring (I wouldn't know, I only went once and it was elven princess being there). I also got Hugo to work there no problem. It's not terribly consequential, but it was one of the most involved quests what with the 2 pieces of evidence one in a random merchant quarter's house, and Brant's assistance depending on how you ask him for his help (something like "I'll take whatever help you can give" works, "please I beg you, help me" doesn't).

There's the masquerade quest, and also another where you go into the castle to steal evidence from Allard's office. I forget the name of that one though.
