I'm not a huge fan of most of the generic looking armor in the game so far compared to 1, layering or no, but holy poo poo, Trickster looks amazing. I look like a philospher queen now lmao

I need to beeline to Warfarer so I can use the censer with something that can do damage after. If you use the meister skill to swap weapons, will the pawn superbuff (or any buffs or effects, really), stay applied after swapping to the other weapon? For instance, could you use the censer to buff pawns' attack, then the mystic spearhand skill to apply the invincibility shields and have both up at once?

I’m thinking sorc+trickster might be an amusing warfarer setup. Walls and phantoms would help keep them off you and then you switch to sorc and start blasting. Not sure whether the duration on the various abilities would work for it. Much to consider.

That's a great question. I know the game will undo certain things if you swap, e.g. if you cast flare and swap to a magic bow, the flare disappears, but will stick around for other weapons.

Reddit says that it totally works, so I'll beeline for it and see if I can't confirm for myself.

I think the buff might work but the phantom may vanish -- iirc someone earlier tried to use the trickster phantoms to draw aggro and mentioned that their health starts draining super rapidly once you swap away from the weapon.

It's really funny how rare ferrystones are before the postgame and how during the postgame they're literally everywhere.

If you could recolor armor, then how could you tell the difference when the upgrade to armor is already a recolor!? (When this gives me more skull helmets, it is good. When it just means a different fur armor for thief, it is bad).

Trickster unfortunately doesn't work very well for warfarer because when you switch to another weapon your phantom will start losing health very quickly (the same as if you walked out of range). Walls might still be useable.

Goddamn, I unlocked Warfarer at the end of the game.
I had everything I needed for it, I just didn't know that's what it was for.

Anyway, fought the dragon, it was piss-easy, got to the ending and pissed off a force ghost so much that I got to do it again.
Now I'm in The Unmoored World, which I only got to because I pieces together something from my time in Bitterblack Isle.

This poo poo rules and I feel like such a silly boy for hoarding all my Ferrystones.

How quickly did y'all kill the colossus?

I ended up jumping on it while it went under a bridge, then quickly took out all the spikes in it. Ended up finally killing it while it was in the lava fields. Probably could have killed it earlier but all the spikes were out and I wasn't sure where to stab it from there. Grabbed one of the mini-ballista near the lava fields to take it out but I'm wondering if I could have ended up sooner..

Right after the first little bridge. Was pretty disappointed in how easy it was but that's Magic Archer for you!

I really like the interpretation of DD2 as a D&D game:

The Arisen/pawns are players and the Pathfinder is the DM guiding the journey. The DM tends to really like one specific adventure module and when one of the players tries to deviate, the DM throws a tantrum and tries to destroy the world.

Can now confirm 2/3 archer 1/3 flare loving rules, though drakes love flopping around so much I mostly fire off a few manual shots to ensure it is primed first.

Lots of skull splitters is probably also wild, but my pawn AI hates using it "right" (rock lizard? Better bounce off it five times!), and when I try to use it myself it warps me through their chest onto their back to then topple over backwards off of the drake

While I am sure more sorcerer than archer would be "stronger", staple shot and drill shot while spending 90% of my time as archer makes the average fight go a LOT faster, and is great "My pawn forgot how to use her thief grappling hooks again" insurance against harpies. Basic RB aimed shot all by itself is nasty against any target not heavily arrow resistant. Stuff that is gets the trip to flare town.

The DM has been running the same campaign in the same setting for multiple groups, and one group harangued him about catgirls so much he made a race of beastren, then they gently caress with his game and setting anyway

Players kill the dragon and DM starts describing the coronation scene. Players go "lol lmao", "is that it?", "wtf, that's the end???", "what is this poo poo ending bro?" before DM nervously goes "uh, ha ha, no, totally not, of course not, there's uh, another way, uh, secret, totally, you just didn't find it and, uh... So you notice the blue ghost sitting in the room..." while crumpling his lavish ending prose, a silent tear forming and slowly dripping along the side of his face.

I just started NG+ and out of nowhere my pawn nuked Checkpoint Border Town. I even changed him from Straightforward to Simple (or Kindhearted, don't remember) to get better audio cues. This time I really had no idea, since I didn't get the tutorial pop-up for the plague when I hired an infected pawn in the rift. This mechanic is really bonkers.

Luckily I had two Eternal Wakestones in my bank, I just had to wakestone the vocation master first.
