I'm surprised the new gate is just getting an anime now, the novel is up to volume 20-something. It is very blatantly a what if kirito won and then immediately got isekai'd into a real version of SAO hundreds of years after the players left and passed into legend.

I'm hyped for more Konosuba, and am interested in checking out Jellyfish, Girls Band Cry, and Shuumatsu Train. Will probably watch Euphonium and Yuru camp someday once i watch the older seasons. ....also i still can't get over the fact that there is an actual omegaverse anime this season (Tadaima, Okaeri)

This is gonna be another fairly busy season for me with a lot of show's I'd like to try at least. Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku? - I don't know what to expect from this one, but there's girls and a train and that's cool. I like trains Dungeon Meshi cont. - This adaptation wound up exceeding my expectations, being not just an adequately straightforward take on a good comic but developing a bit of its own artistic style that some scenes and characters genuinely benefitted from, so I'm excited to see more. Bartender: Kami no Glass - Interesting enough premise to watch one (1) episode of Girls Band Cry - The aesthetic for this one is... Well, it'll take some getting used to, but I do wanna give it a chance because I'll always be there for girl band drama. It's gonna be a bit difficult to not make (inevitably unfavourable) comparisons to MyGO but I'll try to take it on its own terms. Hibike! Euphonium 3 - Eupho remains one of my favourite stories, and while for a time I thought Liz and the Blue Bird was such a perfect note to finish it on that I wasn't even interested in further continuations, actually watching the Chikai no Finale movie a few weeks ago I was surprised by how much I liked it, in a way that ignited my excitement for the 3rd season as well. More band drama, more Kumiko being fussy and complicated, more fraught and opaque gay stuff. Hell yeah. Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai - I don't know what to expect from this one, but there's girls and good art direction and that's cool. My intuition whispers to me that this is gonna be the sleeper hit of the season but lately my intuition has been off the mark too often to trust Sentai Daishikkaku - Entirely outside my wheelhouse and frankly I'm not sure why I'm taking notice of this one but idk something about the premise seems interesting. Gotta watch stuff outside your comfort zone too, it can't all be girl drama Blue Archive - BA is such a massive cultural presence that I'd like to have at least some understanding of what it actually is. Of course I doubt this show is going to be any more representative of why people love it than the Arknights anime was, but maybe it's still going to give me some decent shooty action the way the Arknights anime did. Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote - Yuri pick for the season. I liked what I read of the manga for this, and actual vocal performances are very much what it was missing. Unfortunately the aesthetic of this adaptation looks rather uninspired, but hey it's all about that audio track anyway

Far as spring movies getting English releases go, April has the Spy x Family movie and May has the Gundam Seed movie. Gonna be excited to check those out on the big screen. Support your local theaters when possible, folks! (And of course there's Ghiblifest stuff starting up too but that happens every year and hell, as long as they keep doing it I'll keep showing up)

I just did a bounce off of One Room, Hiatari Futsuu, Tenshi-tsuki after watching the first episode this morning. It's innoccuous, fairly standard, and looks to be covering the same well-worn ground as Senko-San. If it's what you're in the mood for, it should serve you well. I'm keeping it light this Spring. Looking like a good season. I'll start by watching Blue Archive, Girls Band Cry, Eupho S3, Whisper Me a Love Song, Seiyuu Radio, Train to the End of the World, Jellyfish Can't Swim at Night, and Yuru Camp S3. Some may not turn out well but I'm hopeful, and there's some potentially good shows I could pick up later as well. Plus continuing with Dungeon Meshi and Sengoku Youko. Good stuff.

I am interested in Girls Band Cry a lot. I'm afraid I won't be able to help but comparing it to MyGo at every second however, even though it's just happening to share the genre (and i also noticed halfway through typing this sentence i wrote it as Girls Band Party by mistake...). And I actually remember reading that Seiyuu radio manga a while back and am surprised to see it animated! I still remember he initial set-up and then the conflict in the very final chapters... but I don't actually remember anything that happpend in-between those, so watching this anime might actually be lot more of a fresh experience than it would otherwise.

I'm looking forward to Mission:Yozakura Family, I really enjoy the manga, and I thought the trailer for Astro Note looked interesting and fun, so I want to check that out. Kaiju No8 also looks fun Also, fair warning about Re:Monster, I read some of it a while ago, figuring it was just a generic isekai. It gets super rapey at one point, with the main character capturing a bunch of elf women, and drugging them to get them to have sex with him. One of the few series I have dropped out of sheer disgust.

Stacked season IMO. Continuing Dungeon Meshi, will check out seasons 3 of Euphonium, YuruCamp, and probably KonoSuba, and then there's like a dozen shows that I'm at least somewhat interested in. Shuumatsu Train, Jellyfish, and Whisper Me a Love Song all look good. Dark horse pick uhhh Mysterious Disappearances.
