i just want a spreadsheet program that has all the usual cells and garbage, but you can just put python code in it.

imagine how many mistakes i can make with that. i'd be loving up my finances at lightning speed

Just updated on my Mac and iPhone. I've got exactly one spreadsheet that I use with Numbers, but it's the spreadsheet that tracks all of the money from my side business so I wanted to make sure I'm on the latest & greatest.

Ensuring no one using Windows can access your work is a feature with Numbers, not a bug.

honestly surprised that anyone is working on numbers at all. Apple clearly stopped caring about it

I'm still using an old version of numbers from around 500 AD and I haven't had any problems.

intent afaik is precisely what you're looking for, put python in cells, replacing the default excel expressions.

as mystes alludes to the execution is then a cloud thing, which is real weird, but i guess they have to figure out how to do a hosted thing for the web version anyway, and it might then just be easier to roundtrip to that service.

I tried using Numbers a couple of times because it was the default csv opener, and every time it was terrible.

I track multiple figgies in it, with formulas and charts. I tried to do this in excel and I wanted to rip my face off due to how much it sucked
