This thread reminds me that when I was 9 years old I had to show my mom a few episodes of Pokemon to convince her that it wasn't satanic. I can't remember what episodes did the trick, but I think it had to do with Lapras. However, I failed to convince her that Yugioh wasn't, so she destroyed/burnt all my cards.

Paprika (the character) is a fictional "Dream" identity created by one of the characters in the movie. The man whose arm is in that gif is infatuated with the real life person who created that persona, so when he meets her dream self in the dreamworld he attempts to strip away her facade to reveal the "Real" woman inside. Of course, Paprika (the film) loves its dream logic symbolism so the way he does this is very invasive, uncomfortable, and sexual.

It's pretty okay. Millennium Actress is still Satoshi Kon's best movie though.
