Wow Memphis is not good. The ISU win last week is not looking so impressive anymore.

I'm not aware of why they'd suck other than being good for a long while in college basketball, though Mark Few (coach) is a drunk driver. Maybe #8 in the gently caress list with DUKE being #1-7

odd story but interesting in some of the nuts and bolts stuff of refereeing, knowing NC State's history with the NCAA it'll probably end up with them getting put on probation somehow https://twitter.com/NataliePierre_/status/1467533820886982660?s=20

Yea it looks weird, but they don't seem too far off considering both teams have played a really tough schedule so far. I'd probably rank it this way though:

5 Alabama
6 Villanova
7 Gonzaga
8 Texas
9 Kansas

Texas could honestly slide down a lot more than that. They have only played one ranked team and lost (Gonzaga). Nova's only two losses are to teams higher than them, and they beat Tennessee.

Auburn G Allen Flanigan reportedly returning to practice this week ahead of schedule after his Achilles tear, might be ready for conference play. Even with the injury he was voted preseason All-SEC, projected as a late first round candidate after taking a big step forward last season, especially while Sharife Cooper was held out. Coach's kid and plays like it, great basketball IQ, only concern about his return is how they manage the minutes with no obvious weak links that he could replace.

Biased, but love this team's chances to make a deep run.

e: had never actually heard the circumstances of his injury, just that it was "off the court" during the offseason until now:

Auburn Undercover (247 site) posted:

Flanigan was injured when he was hit by another student riding a scooter, a popular mode of transportation on the Auburn University campus.

Everybody may not like it but the best player in college basketball plays for Wisconsin. His name is Brad Davison. Just kidding his name is Johnny Davis. Seriously, I know it's Wisconsin and blah, blah, blah, but tune in and watch Davis play. Him and Chucky Hepburn's hair make the games fun.

Baylor’s up next I guess if they can survive Villanova Sunday.

Given the schedules Iowa State has a decent chance of being the final unbeaten.
