Only clarkes ive read were 2001 and Fountains of Paradise. Maybe i should check that one out, the premise sounds cool, and i feel like i gotta keep the reading momentum

the giant warrior attack scene looked exactly like an angel attack and then son of a bitch. Anno was the animator for that scene. Incredible that he had such a distinct style even that early in his career.

They put out a really nice hardcover collection of the manga if anyone's interested, it kicks rear end and has a lot of stuff that didn't make it into the movie

probably a better time than the actual fireflies/Totoro double feature lol.

I downloaded every takahata/Miyazaki feature now and starting with horus. I've seen all the Ghibli films before but it's been years since I watched most of em. Looking forward to revisiting porco rosso and neighbors yamada the most I think, ive only seen those both once before.
