Whenever I have to give a formal brief, I like to shoehorn pictures of jets in which no real attention paid to making it flow. Case in point--last year I did one up about safety forms the USAF uses then made a sudden transition to trijet porn. It was mostly pictures of the L1011 and the 727.

So I'm done seeing posts about airports and I'll actually post some useful info here. If you've got The Military Channel they have a show called "Great Planes". Next Wed they are airing an Episode about the XB-70. For those of you interested in it might be a good show to watch. Here's the schedule for the show.

Looks like it was converted to a two-seater, so it's probably not a standard canopy.

Unless you mean the placement in the engine, but that's just how they rolled back then.

Terminal B at IAH is by far the weirdest smelling / cramped terminal I can think of. I'm used to flying regional (most of my miles are on CRJ200 and ERJ), so cramped gates at the rear end end of terminals are normal, but that one gives an air of cattle chute every time I go through there.

YES. I dunno what it is about that terminal but it smells really odd...not just bad BO/standard large cramped groups of people stench (although there is that, since it is a literal cattle chute) but something I can't really put my finger on.

So when I was in Korea a couple of months ago I wound up getting stuck at Incheon International for 6 hours because my original flight got canceled. Let's play guess the livery! (Click through for huge on all of these, but the quality might not be so good on some of them, mostly because they were taken through windows). Some are a little easier than others.

The engines are a nice touch on that one, I thought.

Yup. It doesn't look terrible (it's better than a lot of U.S. carriers' liveries I think in that it is not butt ugly) but it's definitely not very Russian.

Should have just kept the old one, replaced the winged hammer and sickle with juts a winged star or something. poo poo, with the way Russia's going right now, just keep the hammer and sickle.

Haha, I will honestly be surprised if anyone gets #1, #12, and #20 because between all three airlines they own a grand total of 14 aircraft. All but one of the other unknowns are flag carriers, and the one that isn't a flag carrier owns over 100 aircraft so it isn't some mom and pop low cost carrier or anything.

e: I'll give y'all a hint and say that #12 and #20 are both based out of Korea, and that #1 is based out of Thailand (as stated earlier).

Multiple confusing terminals, I-10 traffic sucks, rental cars WAY off-site, ground swells cause major turbulence when landing. I can keep going. Sky harbor sucks. Its not the worst though. That spot is forever reserved for EWR.

6 hours in the terminal with a dead laptop battery because I didn't have a 220V adapter with me and too drunk/hungover to focus on reading a book. I could only watch Korean TV and sleep for some of that time.

I don't think it's quite daily, actually, but 5-6 days a week depending on the season. I worked there a few years back and it was a slight annoyance as it would tie up a GPU for the night to allow the maintenance checks and cleaning by Delta. At the time a bunch of South Satellite gates had no ground power and the Delta ramp that handled that stuff had like 3 GPUs. So, for us contract maintenance guys needing power to do our nightly checks there was always a hassle when Iceland Air was around making that airplane memorable.
